The Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) is a regulated qualification designed to teach members of the public life-saving skills for use in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident.
Based on the citizenAID Pocket Guide and Phone App, this 3 hour qualification covers the ‘Run, Hide, Tell’ advice and also extends this to add ‘Treat’. This qualification teaches learners how to react safely, pass on effective messages to the emergency services, prioritise the injured and give life-saving first aid in extreme situations.
The Level 2 Award in citizenAID (RQF) qualification has been developed for all members of the public who wish to learn valuable life-saving skills and techniques for use in the event of a shooting, stabbing, bombing or other deliberate incident.
This qualification is particularly useful for those who work in high risk environments where the risk of a deliberate multiple casualty attack should be considered, including: airports, train and bus stations, schools/colleges, shopping centres, and large public events.
The course covers a variety of topics, including prioritising multiple casualties, dealing with an unresponsive casualty who is breathing, and controlling severe external bleeding.
7 x Assessments, including a mixture of knowledge and practical-based activities/assessments.
